Can I submit my own website to the Search Engines?

We have included hints and tips on our site to help you get the best results from
your own web site. There are several reasons for this:-
Do It Yourself If you feel you wish to "do it yourself", we don't mind
having helped you on your way. We hope you will remember us when you wish to go further,
or when you get so busy making sales that you no longer have time to "do it
yourself".
Use Our Services If you thinking of using our services, we are happy to
encourage you to know more about web design, and web site and page submission. We
believe in being open and honest about our methods and services. We will both be
working towards the same goal, maximising the success of your site. The more we
understand each other, the better we can achieve those goals. The more you appreciate
the thoughts and effort which go into our side of the deal, the keener you will be to let
us do the job for you. This should be especially so if your web site really takes off in
a big way, and you find yourself adding hundreds or even thousands of extra pages. Its a
lot of work managing the extra pages, obviously we need to charge more for large sites
because we need to monitor and submit more pages. We like you to know what you will be
paying for.
Use Our Competitors? There is a lot of hype out there about website
submission, people offering to submit your site to the top 20 search engines free, or
2,000 search engines for $99, also for web submission software. Some of these sites and
services probably offer reasonably good value, but many do not, and using them carelessly
may actually harm your listings. If you have read all the information on our site,
you will be better placed to avoid any of our competitors who make wild exaggerated
claims, or who try to conceal how little they do by referring mysteriously to "secret"
techniques.
Your Contribution Content Much of the advice we give here, we find
ourselves repeating to our clients. We cannot get you the top slots without you putting
in plenty of effort also. One piece of advice we find ouselves giving to most of our
clients is to increase the amount of "content", both within individual pages, and also by
adding more pages, each relating to a specialised topic relevant to your site and your
business.
